Friday morning the team arrived at Nazos Park determined not to leave with Bumble Bee. They were worried for her physical well-being as she was out in an area with lots of coyote activity. The neighbors told them of hearing them howl at night. She was a shy, reclusive dog with very little self-confidence. There was water readily available, but she had zero experience catching or foraging for her own food.

They gathered at 10am making their way through the dense forest they had been through the days before. As you can see in the image, the primary search area was the forest preserve that bordered Nazos Park. This time though, they expanded out into areas they had not been before. Jackson, the son of a long-time As Good as Gold member, was walking through 5-6' tall grass calling her name. Being a retired breeder dog, she did not know her name and was terrified of people. He came within 3 feet of her hiding in the long grass. He only saw her once she got spooked and took off running,

She ran north along the river. Jackson called Nickey's cell phone to tell her she'd ben spotted. Nickey called Jim's cell phone with the news that she'd been found down by the river. Jim ran sound along the river looking for Bee and/or Jackson. Bee startled him and she came north along the same path Jim was running along. She turned south and took off again.

As she ran past Jackson, she was heading towards the busy divided highway of North Avenue. Jackson and Jim didn't want to chase her onto or across the busy road, so they slowed to a walk and just kept her in their sights.

Art's RV is an RV sales and retail business on North Avenue boarding on the forest preserve property. Bumble Bee rounded their fence and went into their back lot. Jim ran into the business explaining there was a lost dog in their back lot. The woman behind the counter said "This dog" and displayed the lost dog poster that have been dropped off on Wednesday.

Bee is captured by JimFour staff members went outside, closed the gates and asked what they could do to help catch Bumble Bee. Nickey and Elizabeth had arrived from where they we searching. The Art's RV staff said there was a hole in the back fence. Nickey went to take a position there to prevent her escaping again. The Art's RV staff and AGaG volunteers maintained a perimeter around Bumble Bee as she run up and down the rows or RVs and between them. After what seems like 30 minutes but was probably 10, Bumblee dove under an RV. All of the volunteers surrounded the RV while Jim crawled under to secure her. She was safely pulled out from under the RV and two collars and leashes were placed on her.

While all this was going on, Rose ran back to the park to get her car. She hurriedly drove to meet everyone at Art's RV. They all loaded into her car (clown style) with Bumble Bee safely secured. They called Partners and Paws from the car letting them know they were on the way with Bumble Bee. They had been aware, like so many, of her being out missing and were thrilled to know she was found and safe.
