After arriving at Partners and Paws, Bumble Bee has visibly relaxed a little but, but also smells pretty bad. The volunteers who ended up rescuing her that day gathered in an exam room to recall the tails of the hours earlier. They made many phone calls to update all of those involved in her rescue...DuPage Animal Control, DuPage Forest Preserve, Lost Dog Illinois, As Good as Gold and update the social media posts to notify all of those involved that she had been found safely.
While the Partners and Paws staff got ready for her exam, Bumble Bee was given food and water. With all she'd been through, she was certainly hungry and did eat some of what she was given, a surprise for a retired breeder dog amongst so many strangers. But remember, she had not eaten in four days.
